Just recently I was away in the country. Where I was staying was up on a hill with a great view of the small township below. One morning when I was up early it was just on sunrise and the town was engulfed in low mist. It reminded me of the glory cloud. Many thoughts came into my mind and I prayed earnestly that the glory of God would fill each home and church across our nation, Australia, the great south land of the Holy Spirit.
Have you ever wondered about the glory of God and have you ever experienced it? Some years back I said to the Lord , I want to see the glory. To my absolute amazement He showed me. I was driving into the city from my home. As I was coming down a hill I saw the city in black and white. Then it changed to a beautiful picture of the most wonderful colours falling down like rain. I thought of that beautiful old hymn "Battle Hymn of the Republic" written by Julie Ward Howe in 1861. She wrote it during the American Civil War and it's about the coming of God's justice and truth. This is the first verse, "Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord,"
Isaiah 6:3: "And one cried to another and said, Holy ,holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory." We will be undone when God's manifest Glory falls. Everything we need is in the Glory, His Presence.
In a teaching by Donna Rigney called "Soaking in the Glory" she says, "Please help me Holy Spirit, to get into the Lord's presence. It is not always easy for some of My children to get into My Glory. This is to leave the natural realm and go into the spiritual realm. The key is to ask Holy Spirit to help you get into God's Glory."
Lord I pray that You would help me and all those reading this blog to access Your Glory, and to develop a wonderful, intimate, passionate and loving relationship with You-Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. We want to worship you in spirit and in truth, allowing Your Glory to permeate our entire beings.
